Fun, Friends, and Food
Good food, interesting conversations, and shared laughter are mainstays at St. Paul's.
Sunday Morning Fellowship
St. Paul's enjoys a fellowship hour following services on the first Sunday of the month. Coffee, treats, and good conversation make this regular event something everyone looks forward to.
S.T.A.R.S. (Seniors, Tired, and Retired Saints) / Dorcas Circle
STARS is a senior adult group that meets once a month on the first Wednesday to enjoy a tasty meal and learning in retirement. After the meal, there is a short program with speakers on a variety of subjects. Any senior in the community is welcome to attend the meetings. Dorcas Circle helps organize and plan the STARS dinner and programs.
Freundschaft Gruppe
This group is St. Paul's answer to church mice. They come...they eat a catered meal...then they tackle church chores: building repairs, yard work, bookwork, cleaning, basically anything that needs doing. Freundschaft Gruppe is responsible for decorating the sanctuary for Christmas and then packing it all away when the season is done.
Margaret Circle
First organized in 1952, this group was established so that women who were employed during the day could also enjoy a regular Bible Study. The group meets the first Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December.
WELCA
The local branch of WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) spearheads many activities in the church, among them the spring "Blanket Making Day" where people from the church and surrounding community make blankets which are sent to Lutheran World Relief. On the first Sunday of October, the WELCA hosts the church and surrounding community at the St. Paul's Chili Supper, which serves as their major fundraiser each year.
