The church — all decked out for Christmas thanks to Freundschaft Gruppe!
This group is St. Paul’s answer to church mice. They come…they eat a catered meal…then they tackle church chores,
Freundschaft Gruppe meets the second Monday of each month from September through April at 5:30pm.
After good food and fellowship they clean, polish, sew, sharpen pew pencils, do plumbing & electrical repairs, defrost freezers & clean refrigerators, and pick up the church yard.
This group is also responsible for all the Christmas decorations, both inside and outside the church, including finding and decorating the Christmas tree. We set up the luminaries along the church driveway on Christmas Eve. Early in January we carefully pack everything away and treat ourselves to a wine and cheese party and soup supper.
In August we enjoy a social event such as a dinner out at an interesting location, theatre.
The cost of the dinner each month is $7/person, and reservations need to be made the day before by contacting Jeannette Fischer at 573.782.4594.
