LYO

Sunday evenings are a time the youth at St. Paul’s gather for fellowship. Whether it’s watching a DVD-based Bible study or a video, the post-confirmation / high school kids enjoy gathering together to continue their faith journeys.

Members of LYO are also involved in assisting the Sunday School program, serving as teachers, helpers, and kid wranglers.

For fun-raising…and fundraising, the Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) hosts the food stand at Fireworks on the Hill during the Lohman community’s Independence Day celebration. Recently this group hosted its first 5K race in order to fund their trip to Joplin, Missouri, to engage in rebuilding efforts following the 2011 tornado there.

In recent years our youth have traveled to the Lutheran Youth Gathering as well as other events sponsored by the Missouri Kansas Synod of the ELCA.
